Tsinseal® FSE gasket is designed for the cost of joint failure can’t be tolerated and the operator desires both electric insulation and added sealing integrity in the case of a fire.
Tsinseal® FSE gasket is designed based on Tsinseal which used many years in oil and gas industry. The spring energized PTFE seal will be melt under fire environment, so we design secondary camprofile seal to resist fire, and it also covered by Mica to provide the insulation. This design has fully passed API 6FB, 3rd Edition fire test.
Tsinseal® FSE gasket has a primary spring energized PTFE seal and a secondary camprofile seal, they are all seat in the retainer which is epoxy bonded stainless steel. Second seal will be a backup under the normal environment, and it will work once the first seal failure during the fire.

Sleeve and Washer Sets
To achieve complete insulate for flanges connection, sleeves and washers sets are required with our insulation gasket. All materials should be selected to suit the operating conditions (product, pressure, temperature, etc.) Special consideration should be given to ensuring that the materials selected for the insulating sleeves and washers are not damaged during tightening at the time of installation
Insulating bolt sleeve should be manufactured from materials having low water absorption (because of the limitations on thickness), high dielectric strength, and low cold-flow characteristics, they should be suitable for the service conditions of the particular application.
Insulating washers should be manufactured from materials having high compressive, low water absorption, high dielectric strength, and low cold-flow characteristics
Double washer sets are recommend for most of the applications, it not only insulate the flanges but also the fasteners with flanges. It include one full length sleeve, two insulation washers and two steel washers per bolt.

Insulating/Steel Washer
The GRE washer will be damaged under fire condition, the stress in the flanges connection will lost and get leakage. HCS (Hardened Carbon Steel) are designed special for the high compressive requirement and fire safe insulating system, it covered with high dielectric strength coating which also provide low friction and high wear resistance.
